How the CSA Sign-up Works
You sign-up for a subscription of Certified Organic fruit and vegetables, delivered weekly or every other week to a location that you choose. New participants will need to pay for 4 deliveries at a time. We offer two shares: Farm and Fruit with various sizes. Please see our website for more details.
Picking Up Your Produce
Here's what to do when you go to pick-up your CSA Share:
1. When you arrive at the pick-up location find a Freshness Farms Container, take out your share with your name on it and close container.
2. Shares are individually labeled. Other members shares may have addtional items they have paid for. Please do not take someone else's share or the entire container.
3. Please leave your reusable bags to be returned.
Our policy is that we do not guarantee produce past the designated pick-up time. Out of courtesy to all involved, we ask that you adhere to the designated pick-up times. No credit is issued when a person arrives late to claim their share, and the share has been donated.
Putting Shares on Hold
It is easy to manage your account online. If you are going out of town and want to skip your next delivery, you can put a future box on hold by going to your account and clicking on the calendar day you wish to hold. All holds must be placed no later than four days prior to your delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations at the last-minute. One option is to have a friend pick up your share to try us out for a week!
Re-using bags is a great way for the both of us to help the health of our environment. In order to do this effectively, you can provide bags with your name on it for us to use and please make sure to return them to the containers on a weekly basis.
Deadlines for Order Changes
Going out of town? If you don't want your share on a particular week, login to your account and place your order on hold. We must receive your request no later than four days prior to your delivery. If it is past the four days prior then it must be picked up or we can donate it.
Need to cancel? You can email or call 408-996-1414 to let us know what is going on. Your account will be canceled at your request. If you cancel your membership you must notify us before the four day cut off for your last paid delivery in order not to be charged for future deliveries. When you need to cancel prior to all paid deliveries having been delivered, you will receive a credit on your account for future use.
Credits will be given for any unused portion of your membership provided:
- You notify us in writing of your cancellation (email notification will be acceptable).
- No credits will be given for any boxes that are made and not picked up.
All payments will be posted to your membership account as soon as they are received. Returned checks will be charged any additional fees that we may occur. All funds are in US Dollars.
